<dc:description>Physical activities play an active role in the hematological parameters of the human body. These changes have been found to involve the enhancement of Red Blood Cells (RBCs), White Blood Cells (WBCs), and Platelets depending on the nature of exercise. Duration of exercise and intensity of the exercise also fluctuate these parameters. This study's primary goal was to examine the influence of aerobic exercise (one-mile run) on the hematological parameters of the football players who participated in intervarsity sports competition during the year 2021-22 from the Gomal University Dera Ismail Khan (KPK), Pakistan. The voluntarily participating individuals were divided into two groups of similar size, the Experimental Group (EG, n=15), and the Control Group (CG,n=15). Keeping in view the nature of the research design pre-post experimental design the researcher gets the hematological parameters before and after the completion of an 8-week aerobic exercise program.</dc:description>

<dc:description>The background of the study at hand described the Relationship between Sports Participation and the Development of Social Perfectionism among University Female Athletes of Punjab. Social perfectionism was analyzed from four perspectives like self-esteem, self-confidence, self-acceptance and self-discipline. The population for the study comprised of (462) university female athletes who had participated at intercollege and inter-varsity sports competitions randomly selected from Eight (08) public sector universities of Punjab. A structured questionnaire on a Likert scale ranging from strongly agree (SA) to strongly disagree (SDA) was developed and used after pilot testing checked through respondents of sampled university female athletes adopting a Cronbach's Alpha method of reliability. The researcher set a 0.05 value for testing the set hypotheses of the study. The data have shown that sports participation is highly correlated with different dimensions of social perfectionism like self-esteem, self-confidence, self-acceptance and self-discipline. At the same time, it was noticed that self-confidence was the most dominant factor developed through sports participation among female athletes of the university. Likewise, the data have revealed that those athletes who had participated in individual sports for four or more than four years had obtained higher mean score on Social Perfectionism Questionnaire (SPQ) than those who had participated in team sports for less than four years. Keeping in view the utility and importance of sports in the lives of students, particularly in empowering girls, it is obligatory to encourage a sports culture and involve the girls in peaceful sports.</dc:description>

The study included 12 football players of GHSS Ramak Dera Ismail Khan, KP, Pakistan, aged between 15 to 18 years old, who followed the same twice- weekly workout schedule for a total of 8 sessions. The study was conducted using the one-group pre-posttest model of the experimental method. The Illinois Agility test was taken from each individual before the beginning of the training session and then following it. The findings revealed a noteworthy improvement in agility performance after the plyometric training program (t=5.32, p=0.001). This suggests that Plyometric training might be a useful method for enhancing agility in male football players, and can also be beneficial when performed for only 4 weeks. The study's findings can help coaches and trainers to improve the performance of their players.</dc:description>

<dc:description>The study examined the relationship between athletic performance and physical stress (fatigue and illness), social stress (family, teachers, and behaviors), and psychological stress (sleep and emotions), as well as the degree to which each stress affected performance. Self-administered surveys were used in a quantitative manner to evaluate athletes' perceived performance and these stressors. 434 athletes from two districts' government colleges participated in the study. Significant positive relationships between all forms of stress and performance were found via analysis. Subsequent investigation revealed that social stress and psychological stress gradually increased the explained variance when added to the model, with physical stress alone accounting for a sizable amount of the performance variance. Future studies ought to examine the fundamental processes via which stress affects performance and look into these connections in a wider range of sample sizes.</dc:description>

<dc:description>The study sought to determine the impact of a 12-week plyometric workout regimen on the flexibility of female cricket players in Balochistan. Twenty participants were divided into two groups: an experimental group that received plyometric workouts, and a control group that wasn't involved in any specific physical activity program. Flexibility was assessed using the sit-and-reach test, and anthropometric characteristics were measured before and after the training period. The results showed a significant increase in flexibility in the experimental group compared to the control group. Additionally, the experimental group exhibited significant changes in weight and waist-hip ratio post-intervention. These findings suggest that plyometric training can effectively improve flexibility in female cricket athletes.Additional studies might concentrate on the long-term consequences of plyometric training and address potential limitations such as diet and weather conditions to enhance understanding further.</dc:description>

<dc:description>Strength and conditioning coaches frequently concentrate on developing athletes' force capability, essential for agility. Agility is a multifaceted quality that includes reflexes, strength, endurance, balance, coordination, speed, and the capacity to accelerate and decelerate. This study compares resistance band training versus resistance training using dumbbells on the agility performance of male track and field athletes. A randomized controlled trial design was used, having n=60 in three groups, i.e. one control and two experimental groups. The participants' agility performance was measured using the Quick Feet test. Both the resistance band group and the dumbbells group had a substantial increase in agility (p < 0.001) from the pre-test (3.45 ± 0.23) to the post-test (3.08 ± 0.24) (p = 0.009). The results validate the effectiveness of resistance training in improving male athletes' agility performance. Coaches should incorporate resistance training into their programs to develop athletic performance.</dc:description>

<dc:description>This study investigated the impact of a 12-week high-intensity resistance training (HIRT) program on cricket players' physical fitness at the Government College of Physical Education in Quetta, Pakistan. The study included twenty male cricket gentleman's (mean age 23.5 years, SD 3.1). Participants were divided into two groups: The group performing the experiment (EG, n = 10) went through the HIRT program, while the control group (CG, n = 10) did not engage in any specific training. Physical fitness assessments were conducted pre- and post-intervention, including tests for muscular strength, power, agility, and endurance. Results showed significant improvements (p < .05) in muscular strength, power, and agility in the EG compared to the CG. However, no significant differences were found in endurance. These results suggest that HIRT can be a successful technique to enhance fitness levels in cricketers.</dc:description>

<dc:description>This study investigated the influence of physical training on competitive state anxiety in athletes. Ninety athletes (19-25 years old) from three public and private universities in Lahore participated (n = 30 per sport category). The Competitive State Anxiety Inventory-2 (CSAI-2) assessed pre- and post-training anxiety levels. Descriptive statistics (Mean ± SEM) were used to summarize data. Paired-sample t-tests explored the impact of the training program on overall state anxiety, while a one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) examined the program's effect on CSAI-2 sub scales cognitive, somatic anxiety, and self-confidence. Results revealed significant reductions in state anxiety for ergometer rowing, middle-distance, and long-distance athletes following the 8-week training intervention. We propose that the structured training program improves state anxiety in these athletes by potentially enhancing their fitness and psychological resilience. This study highlights the potential of physical training programs to optimize athletic performance by mitigating competitive anxiety.</dc:description>

Eight weeks of strength and karate training were given to the experimental group and only karate training to the control group. The study measures were eight skinfolds, nine girths, body mass, hand grip strength, agility, flexibility, leg strength, balance, speed, sit-ups, push-ups, and half squats. The statistical analysis of the repeated measures ANOVA reveals that the experimental group was significantly higher than the control group after eight weeks of strength training in agility, flexibility, speed, vertical jump, sit-ups, push-ups, and half squats. Finally, it is concluded that strength and karate training are suitable for reducing fats and increasing the physical fitness of school children. It is suggested that the school administration adopt strength and karate training programs to improve physical fitness and body composition.</dc:description>

<dc:description>Sports provide a space for recreation and emotional growth, where mental well-being, life satis-faction, and aggression often intersect. Mental well-being fosters resilience, while life satisfaction reflects overall contentment. Objective of the present study was to investigate the relationship between aggression and mental well-being and predictive relationship of mental well-being with life satisfaction. Sample comprised of 300 males, 21 to 34 years old, recruited through conven-ient sampling technique from Sindh, Pakistan. Data was collected using DIQ, BPAQ, SWLS and WEMWBS. Findings show life satisfaction was significantly predicted by mental well-being (r2 = .10, F = 32.94, p <. 05), emotional intelligence (R2 = .37, F = 129.16, p < .05), and negative relationship between aggression and life satisfactory (r = -.113, p = <. 05). The study encourages the integration of targeted interventions that can help reduce aggression and enhance positive mental states, ultimately contributing to healthier, more satisfied communities.</dc:description>

<dc:description>Tele-rehabilitation is a component of telemedicine that focuses on delivering rehabilitation services to individuals in distant areas. It has been recognized as an effective alternative healthcare delivery model during the COVID-19 pandemic, and numerous studies have highlighted its viability in providing rehabilitation services to patients. To assess the knowledge, attitudes, and barriers, a cross-sectional study was carried out among physical therapists in various settings within Peshawar. A total of 117 participants, both male and female, were selected using convenient sampling methods. The study was conducted over six months, with data collection taking place within one month.</dc:description>

<dc:description>This research compared the physical fitness and performance of the skilled and novice table tennis female players. Skilled female table tennis players (n = 14) and novice female (n = 14) from Government Women Graduate College satellite Twon Bahawalpur, Pakistan. The measurements were obtained as agility, flexibility, reaction time, hand grip strength, skinfolds, breadths, limb length, and angular kinematics of the forehand drive. A repeated measure ANOVA was applied to compare the skilled and novice players in the selected variables. The results showed skilled players were significantly higher in flexibility, hand grip strength, coordination, agility, elbow angle, and shoulder angle than novice players. It was concluded that the skilled players are better at physical fitness, forehand drive, and less body fat. Coaches may establish the most effective training protocols for female players to improve their table tennis skills and physical condition.</dc:description>

<dc:description>Sports diplomacy is a soft tactic in promoting harmony in diplomatic relations among states. The study aims to explore the role of sports in shaping Pakistan and India relations and also discusses the efforts made by both nuclear powers in order to restore peace and confidence. Various approaches are used to understand how sports diplomacy can work in improving Indo-Pak relations. Although it is not easy to reunite both nations due to a lack of trust and animosity between them, sports diplomacy carries the potential to foster communication, cooperation, and trust. People-to-people connection through sports can be increased influencing the behavior and perceptions of the masses ultimately resulting in a change in the mindset of decision-makers.</dc:description>

The research work analyzes the diplomatic role of sports, examining how athletic activities and major sports events can contribute to today's global politics. Some of the past and present studies are explored in this research work. The key objective of the study is to effectively elaborate on the role of sports in resolving disputes, cultural connectivity, and nation branding. The study also suggests the dual nature of sports in bridging political divides and linking cultures yet it can be exploited for political agendas and interests. The study also highlights the interplay among sports diplomacy, soft power, and statecraft while arguing sports diplomacy is not a suitable replacement for traditional diplomacy.</dc:description>

<dc:description>The study compared resistance band training (RBT) with conventional resistance training using dumbbells (CRT) on sprint performance in trained male athletes. Sixty athletes were randomly assigned to the RBT group (n = 20), CRT group (n = 20), and control group (n = 20). Training groups performed supervised sessions twice weekly for 8 weeks. Sprint performance was assessed using 30-m flying and 60-m sprint tests pre- and post-intervention. Both RBT and CRT significantly improved 30-m and 60-m sprint performance relative to the control group (p < 0.05). RBT demonstrated greater percentage improvements than CRT in 30-m sprint time (−5.8% vs −3.9%) and 60-m sprint time (−4.9% vs −2.6%). Between-group ANOVA revealed significant group × time interactions for both sprint measures (p < 0.01). Eight weeks of training intervention improved sprint performance in trained male athletes, with RBT showing greater gains. RBT offers a practical and efficient method to enhance linear sprint speed.</dc:description>

Athletes display power and outstanding mind body coordination to get to the finish line as fast as possible. It is modified sprinting. Hurdling is a very technical and energy-demanding, exciting, and challenging event. A qualitative study was conducted with 10 participants, 7 elite hurdles , and 3 coaches from national training camps at Islamabad and Lahore. The data was collected through interviews (semi-structured). Five themes were extracted from the data, technical development, lack of qualified coaches, lack of competition structure, psychological status, and socio-economic status of 110m hurdles in Pakistan. Enhancing techniques over hurdles, coaching education system, provision of sports psychologists and mental training, and improving financial incentives in terms of scholarships and funding from the government, could enhance the performance of 110-meter hurdles to an international level.</dc:description>
